Bio:
“I am board certified in gastroenterology and joined Raleigh Medical Group (RMG) – Gastroenterology, Raleigh, NC in 2019. I believe in providing the best, comprehensive care available to the patient by understanding his/her condition and circumstances with the active involvement of the patient and his/her family. I am experienced in treating bile duct and pancreatic diseases as well as general gastrointestinal disorders. I am skilled in performing endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Spyglass cholangioscopy, and endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) with fine needle aspiration, and celiac plexus blocks. I earned my medical degree at Kurnool Medical College, India. I completed my internship and residency in internal medicine at East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, Tennessee. I also completed a Master’s in Public Health at East Tennessee State University. Prior to my fellowship, I served as Research Chair of Section of Hospital Medicine and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC. During this time I was honored with “Fellow of American College of Physicians (FACP)”, a mark of distinction representing the pinnacle of integrity, professionalism, and scholarship for those who aspire to pursue careers in Internal Medicine. My fellowship training in gastroenterology was completed at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY where I was awarded “The Best Fellow of The Year”. My advanced endoscopy (ERCP/EUS) fellowship was completed at Carilion Clinic Gastroenterology, Roanoke, VA. I am a reviewer for several journals and published multiple articles in national and international journals in this area, with one considered as one of the “highly accessed article” of the journal.”
